Can you believe it's been one whole year since Lottie's launch into space?! What a whirlwind it's been... from the dreams of inspirational six-year-old Abigail, Stargazer Lottie went on to spend 264 days on the International Space Station with ESA Astronaut Tim Peake and was recently nominated for the 'Doll of the Year' award.

#1 One Girl's Dream Doll Becomes a Reality
Abigail is an amazing girl, at age six this astronomy fan dreamed of a doll that loved stargazing and space as much as she did, and with the help of her Mum, Zoe, and our 'Lottie Outfit Design' competition, Stargazer Lottie was created!
#2 'Lottie in Space' Film Receives Rave Reviews at Inspire Fest 2016
Italian filmmaker Elena Rossini was the director of our 'Lottie in Space' mini documentary which beautifully told the story of Abigail's passion for space, and how Stargazer Lottie came to be, Elena premiered her film at Inspire Fest 2016 to an audience who were moved by her work.
#3 ESA Astronaut Tim Peake Tweets a Pic of Lottie in the ISS
During the London Toy Fair on the 24th of January 2016 we received the news that Tim Peake sent a tweet to his huge following with a picture of Lottie in the cupola of the international space station!
#4 ...Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield also tweets about Lottie and Abigail!
As if the Tim Peake tweet wasn't enough excitement, Abigail's astro hero and fellow Canadian Chris Hadfield sent a tweet in support of the Lottie in Space video on the 30th of March 2016.

#5 Children all over the world helped welcome home Tim Peake with Lottie
When Tim Peake made his return to earth on June 18th 2016, Lottie fans celebrated by tweeting pictures of themselves and Lottie and their handmade welcome home banners to celebrate the astronauts amazing achievement, and successful mission on the ISS.
#6 Lottie Successfully Spends #264 Days in Space
Stargazer Lottie celebrates #264 days in space. Lottie counts the men and women who spent time in space fulfilling important missions her role models (Italian European Space Agency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti holds the record for longest single space flight by a woman - 199 days 16 hours!) Lottie's mission was to inspire children to dream big, and reach for the stars!
#7 Stargazer Lottie nominated for 'Doll of the Year' in the 'Oscars' of Toy - Toy Awards
Stargazer Lottie is a finalist in the esteemed US Toy Industry Association Toy of the Year awards, in the 'Doll of the Year' category, announced in February 2017 and votes can be cast here. The recent nomination was the icing on the cake of an exciting year for Team Lottie, and proves that like Abigail, children have the power to make their dreams come true, simply by being themselves - they can create extraordinary childhood moments!
