When it comes to outdoor party games for kids, the possibilities are endless. Kids love to get outside and have fun in the sun, and parents appreciate the opportunity to let their kids run around and burn off all that energy. Whether you’re throwing a party for your own kids or for a group of friends, there are plenty of outdoor party games for kids that will keep everyone entertained.
Here at Lottie Dolls, we believe in encouraging kids to get outside and explore the world around them, so here are a few outdoor party game ideas to get your kids playing and having fun!
1. Water Balloon Fight
Nothing says summer fun like a water balloon fight! Gather up some water balloons, divide the kids into teams, and let them battle it out until all the balloons are gone.
2. Backyard Treasure Hunt
Hide some toys or treats around your backyard and let the kids go on a treasure hunt. You can also make it educational by hiding items with different colours or shapes and having the kids find them.
3. Sidewalk Chalk Games
Sidewalk chalk is a great way to get creative and have a little fun. Draw a hopscotch board, a game of tic-tac-toe, or make up your own chalk game.
4. Potato Sack Race
Gather up some old potato sacks and have the kids line up. Then have them race to the finish line while hopping inside the sacks. The first one across the line is the winner!
5. Balloon Toss
Get a bunch of balloons and have the kids line up. Have them take turns tossing the balloons back and forth while trying not to let them hit the ground. The team with the most balloons in the air at the end wins!
6. Animal Freeze Tag
Have the kids pick an animal to act out and assign one person to be the “freezer”. Start the game by having the kids move around like their animal, and the “freezer” has to tag them and freeze them in place. Whoever is the last one moving is the new “freezer”.
7. Three-Legged Race
Divide everyone into teams of two and tie their legs together with a bandana or scarf. Then have them race to the finish line and see who can cross it first.
8. Blindfolded Balloon Walk
Give each team a balloon and have them line up. Blindfold one person on each team and have them try to walk to the finish line while holding onto the balloon. The first team to cross the line without letting the balloon hit the ground wins!
These are just a few of the many outdoor party games for kids that you can play. With a little
imagination and some
creative thinking, you can come up with tons of other fun
activities to keep the kids entertained. So let the fun begin and get outside with your kids for some party games.
